Steve's Story
Steve is from Syracuse, New York but grew up mostly in Niagara Falls and Amherst, NY. Steve's New York schools include Willow Ridge Elementary, Sweet Home Middle and Sweet Home High School. He moved at the end of his junior year in high school and graduated from New Rochelle High School. Following graduation, he went to the University of Rochester and graduated with a BS in chemistry. After college, Steve worked at IBM in East Fishkill and Somers, NY before moving to Minneapolis and joining Seagate Technology as VP of engineering, quality and productivity improvement. Steve has been married to his college sweetheart Helen Katz since 1981 and has two sons, Jim (Allison) and David (Christina) and two sweet grandchildren, Axel and Tifa.
Steve likes all kinds of music but is a long time fan of U2, Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac and the Foo Fighters. His favorite books include Younger Next Year, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and anything by Ken Follett and Dan Brown.
