Steve's Story

After graduating from Santa Ana High School I went on to get a BPA from Brooks Institute. I spent time in the Navy and after being released I got married and continued my education getting a BFA and a Masters in Fine Arts at San Jose State University. I started my studio and found myself on assignment for several international publications, lectured, given workshops and exhibited my work worldwide. In my spare time I became VP for Hands Across the Waters a NGO where we established sponsor for needy children from East Timor, created educational and nutrition programs along with programs to establish family own business in Indonesia. services at American Indian Contemporary Arts, a Native based arts and education programs. Four years as Co-director for the Center for Creative Arts and Sciences in Northern California. After thirty-four years of marriage and being a Professor in the fine arts and photography (yes photography) I retired and we moved to the Philippines, where I started a new career in which I just retired (2016) from being an advisor and evaluator of NGO programs and projects throughout the Philippines and Asia. I am back in my studio now full time. Today Kathy and i have three daughters, and five grandchildren and a female dog located in the Bay Area, Oregon and London.
