Steve's Story
Member of the International Barbershop Quartet Society since 1964; competed on the international stage 4 times, helped create or build dozens of new chapters, directed 16 choruses and performed in hundreds of shows. Still teach vocal performance and coach men's & women's quartets and choruses throughout the US and Canada.
Career as a business entrepreneur - Founder, Partner or Principal of more than 20 companies. Retired (3rd time) in 2013. Intended to play golf, but soon co-invented a nifty portable golf club stand (See: Stik...Expand for more
it.Golf), and created a business to manufacture the product and a website to sell it. This self-sustaining company uses local American companies to manufacture the components and ultimately ship them to social Industries for assembly, warehousing and shipping by their handicapped workforce. The profits go to charity.
In 2013, I co-founded a company to make golf fund-raisers more fun for the players, less work for the planners and more profitable for the charity. One of these days, I may get to retire and play golf, myself.
