Got out of school, went into the work force for awhile,then joined the Navy. I went into the submarine service for two years stationed in Hawaii. Oh yeah, it was rough duty but someone had to do it. Thought that I was missing all those football games and parties but when I got back home, everyone was married, in college or moved away. Joined the Naval Reserves and went to work for the Navy as a civilian. Switched services, joined the Air National Guard down at Belle Chasse Naval Air Station then worked as a full time tech. for two years. Came back to work for the Navy. Worked for the Coast Guard for three years building the USCG Healy the newest Icebreaker in the fleet. Now I'm back working for the Navy building ships at Avondale Shipyard until January when I'll retire. Help Build the USS New York which has 30 tons of steel in it's bow which came from the World Trade Center. It's going on Sea Trials 7/21/09 then into the Navy Fleet in couple of weeks. I played tuba in Behrman's band but I wanted to do something different. I've been playing bass guitar in several bands but I have been with the St. Charles Streetcar Band since 1979 doing weddings and dances and playing in clubs. Along with playing October Fest when I'm not too busy, I've backed several old recording stars like Frankie Ford (Sea Cruise), Bobby Mitchel, Oliver (Who shot the La La) Morgan and Frogman Henry through the years.
