Steve's Story
I left Manzano in 1971 and joined the Air Force. Before I left I went and took some tests to get my high school diploma (My dad wouldn’t let me drop of high school; before I had a diploma). I went in the AF during the Vietnam war and I spent 5 years in the AF, two and a half in school for multiple disciplines, mostly engineering and other assignments. After I got out in 1976 I went to work for a computer company in Omaha Ne. for about a year then moved to Chicago for another company for about a year and went back to Omaha for the same company and worked for them until 1980. In 1980 a company approached me for an engineering job and I took it. ional manager and finally executive director of business development. During my career with that company I have lived in Omaha Ne., Chicago IL., O’Fallon IL., Vancouver BC Canada, Melbourne FL., Washington DC (3Times), Atlantic city NJ. Norfolk VA, and Colorado Springs CO. (2 times). I left in 2011 for a promotion at another company as an executive director for Business Development, stayed there for about 9 months then took another job as executive VP for BD at another company. In 2013 I was recruited back to the company I started with in 1980 and went back as a capture management director. I currently live in VA. and plan to retire next year.
Other info – I have been married 3 times (not a good record) Have 3 children and 1 stepchild, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grand children
