Steven's Story
I left Bowie in 1970, after my parents divorced, Moved to Irving Tx.Attended Nimitz High School. worked as a mechanic,raced cars,and lived a pretty wild lifestyle.No cares,no direction. I always missed the home that I grew up in.I had really lost out at 16 years of age,forced to face the world a little early. In 1975, I came to find someone who I had a real first Love for from Bowie High School. Here I was now 19 yrs.old, and I reconnected with Susan Hoeffner.
We dated a short time and Married August 1975. We lived in Ft.Worth until moving to Granbury in 1977. This year we celebrated 39 years of marriage, I worked welding at May Advertising as welding shop foreman from 1975 to mid 1978. Worked building Comanche Pe...Expand for more
ak Nuclear Plant from 1978 to 1993 completing both reactors to start up. In January1995 I opened Edwards Welding Service I had 18 years of success.manufacturing travel trailer hitches.
Yet, I had a higher calling that I had been working at since 2001. THE CALL OF GOD. I am now an Ordained Pentecostal Minister. Prayer Service Director Calvary Church. 5 years, Pastor to Trinity Missions Nursing Home Granbury.
I was severely injured in a car crash January 1993, rear ended while sitting at a red light by a 19 year old driver traveling 55 m.p.h. Texting on a cell phone. Yet, God pulled me through! He had even greater plans for me.
I am humbly thankful each and everyday. Praise Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.!!!
