Steven's Story
Life
Where to begin? After graduating from Kennedy in June of 1968, as Steven Almaz, I attended Sacramento City College for 2 years, obtaining an A.A. I then transferred to U.C. Davis. After two years at Davis, and not really having any idea what I wanted to do with my life, I joined the U.S. Army. I also changed my name to my true family name. I was fortunate to be stationed in Germany,(I guess those German classes at Davis paid off).
I was in Germany for 3 years. I also met and married my lovely wife, Erika in Germany. We celebrated our thirty-seventh anniversary in 2012. We have one child, a son, named Alexander, who works as a firefighter/paramedic for the City of Anaheim fire department.

78. I then went to Law School in southern california and graduated in 1981. I passed the State Bar exam in 1981 and have been a practicing attorney ever since.
Erika and I enjoy traveling, watching those old movies on TCM, and golf. We also have a 2005 Harley-Davidson "Road Glide" that we putt around on during the weekends. We enjoy going to the various "biker" bars in our area both in Orange County and in northern San Diego County. We also take trips on the Harley to our favorite "Indian" casinos in San Diego County.
Erika and I are also poker players. We enjoy taking trips to Las Vegas and playing "Texas Hold'em" at the MGM Grand. We have actually met some very nice people from all over the world at the poker tables.
