Steven's Story
Life
After high school in 1973, I worked for Neville Chemical for a year. Then I joined the Air Force and got married (for the first time). I attended an aircraft maintenance school in Texas and then was stationed at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa for four years. I returned to Pittsburgh in 1979 and attended Electronics Institute for 6 months. I then went back in the Air Force and moved to Las Vegas. During that time, I helped the Air Force Thunderbirds convert from T-38 to F-16 aircraft. In 1981 I was sent to Shepherd AFB in Texas to teach. I attended college at night and Taught aircraft system courses and Quality Control. I was sent to Andrews Air Force base to teach on Air Force One. In 1986 I was accepted in an Army Comissioning progam and returned to Pittsburgh to attend LaRoche College and Pitt University. I began to teach aeronautical Physics (Rocket Science) at the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautices. Many of my students are engineers at NASA and I have met several astronaut...Expand for more
s working here. I taught at PIA until 1995 and stayed in the Air Guard until 1991. I also invested in real estate and attended more college (But I still can't spell). In 1995 and 1996 I opened three hobby shops, one in Parkway Center and One in Mt. Oliver. In 1998 I took over Blazers skating rink in Beaver Falls along with the Sunset Inn and A Pizza shop. I bought several other businesses and still returned to teach at PIA in 1999. I moved to Tampa (again) in 2000. I started a business with Ronald McDonald (Who's Uncle started thee McDonalds Restaurant chain). We had everything riding on the week of the famous September 11th, Which put us out of business. I also taught at Ultrasound Diagnostic School part time. Currently, I am now working for the Air Force again and I am an Instructor on F-16 and C-130 aircraft at Hill AFB in Utah. I have a Doctorate Degree in Education along with many other degrees and licenses. I remarried in 1996 and have a sixteen year old son and 14 year old daughter.
