Steven's Story
Life
After high school I went to OSU for a year and had a great time at the parties, not much as a student. After a year OSU asked me to join the military so I went into the Army where the course of study was intelligence then music. After a year in Viet Nam I went to the Naval School of Music, Army Element and became a saxophone player and a Jazz band leader. Spent a year at Ft. Sill, OK and then off to Japan. the first non-japanese military band to play for the emperor of Japan. While in Japan I met and married a wonderful lady named Setsuko and we have two children and two granddaughters. After 21 years in the Army I retired and lived in Alaska, and worked as a river guide, for 13 years. We now live in Port Angeles, WA and I am still playing i n local Jazz bands. We a a wonderful dog named Sagi that I walk with everyday (a husky).
