Steve Lord has been drumming professionally since 1987. His first taste of being a professional musician came to him when he was 18 years old; as a drummer on the Lt. Robert t E. Lee Riverboat on the levee.

n to be a founding member of a local band called the "Finns" which resulted in sold out shows across the Midwest. The group was featured in many national music magazines such as Billboard and Mojo. -And yes, this is around the time when Steve had long black and blue dreadlocks with blue beads.
Steve ultimately got tired of being a musician and went into commercial photography. He worked side by side with some of the most noted product and fashion photographers in the Saint Louis area including Bruton and Strobe, Matthew O'Shea, David Kingsbury, James Belefeldt and Scott Smith.
Steve is currently a freelance drummer and has performed with numerous acts both live and on recordings. He also teaches drums and percussion to over 40 students per week at Drum Headquarters.
Steve currently lives in SoCo with his wife Aurora and his son Matthew.".
