Steven's Story

Some things I've done since high school: Went to college at Columbia and majored in French. Spent 1968 and 1969 teaching math in the Peace Corps in Honduras. Have been mostly vegetarian since 1971. sity of Texas. Wrote "The Words of Mathematics," a dictionary that traces the origins of our mathematical vocabulary. Published by the Mathematical Association of America in 1994. Have specialized in photographing the native plants of central Texas since 1999. I've put together an art book, "Portraits of Texas Wildflowers," that's still in search of a publisher. As of March 2010, if you do a google search for the phrase "this baby wasp never" (in quotations), you'll turn up an album where I've posted a slew of nature pictures taken in central Texas. Happy viewing if you're so inclined.
