Steven's Story
After high school, I attended Michigan Tech receiving a Civil Engineering degree. I then worked heavy construction in eastern Kentucky and Grand Rapids and then changed jobs in 1980. I worked for Conocofor 22 years living in places such as Ponca City, OK, Lake Charles, LA., Houston, TX., Irvine, CA, Everett, WA., the North Slope of Alaska, Ardmore, OK, Ponca City, OK (again), Helena, MT, and finally Story, WY.
I purchased my present house in Story in 2002 but due to job cutbacks later that year, I decided to leave Conoco.
I now work for the State of Wyoming Department of Audit in the Mineral Audit Division as a Field Inspector. I spend my time travelling this great state doing complkiance inspections on oil and gas measurement facilities ensuring our state receives the correct mineral tax income.

y active in gospel quartet singing while in southern Oklahoma. I still occasionally sing a solo at our church here in Story.
My father passed away from cancer in late 2006. After much thought, my mother came to Wyoming and live with me and my three dogs. For those of you who know my sister Sally, she is living in Clayton, WI with her husband Earl. Her son is in the Marines in California and her daughter is a freshman enrolled at University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire.
Wyoming is a wonderful, scenic state with many similarities to upper Michigan. I own two acres and about 1/4 of it is in native 80 to 100 year old ponderosa pine trees. My back deck looks directly up into the Big Horn Mountains as our community is at an elevation around 5000 feet in the eastern foothills. It makes for cool nights, hot summer days, and interesting winter/spring weather.
I hope everyone is doing well!
