Steven's Story
Looking at all the familiar names from Yorktown I realize how many people I never really knew. Shyness will do that. After leaving Yorktown I worked various service jobs while putting myself through local community college for an Associate of Science degree. In 1976 I moved to California to attend University of California Santa Cruz for a degree in city and regional planning and public policy. r field called where I worked for many years in Oakland and San Francisco developing first generation healthcare software. While working with a small medical device manufacturer I veered in to working with business intelligence software in Silicon Valley, obtaining a business intelligence and data warehousing certificate at UC Berkeley. Currently working at Kaiser Permanente on their fully electronic health record system. Married in 1990, 2 kids, too many cats and dogs. Still maintain avid interest in environmental issues.
