All: The last time I saw any of my classmates was at our 10 year reunion in 1977, at the Huntington Sheraton Hotel. I had so much fun I had to rent a room there that night. So what do you say to people you haven't seen in 38 years? So my story: Practiced law in San Diego to 1978 when I moved to Pago Pago, American Samoa, to become Assistant Attorney General. After a couple of years got married, and went into private law practice. That lasted about 15 years, with three years in the mid-1980's as a political appointee of the Governor. Being a political appointee when you're still young and serious can be hazardous to your health--that contributed to my divorce in 1988. In 1989 I partnered up with Debra, and we eventually married in 2003, after having one daughter in 1993. A week after my daughter was born I went to work for the locally owned community bank as the Chief Loan Officer and a member of the senior management team. In 2001 the bank was acquired by the Australia New Zealand Banking Group, where I remained through the end of 2012 mostly holding down the role of Head of Credit in American Samoa. In 2012 a new Governor was elected.
