Steven's Story
Went from Reseda High to Pierce JC for 2 years when I recieved an all expenses paid offer from Uncle Sam to don some green fatiques in either the Army or the Marines. I decided that 4 years in the Air Force was a better option than playing target practice in a stinking hot jungle with people which were't overly hospitable, nor thrilled with my presence. Lucikily was sent to Germany for three years as an Air Traffic Controller. After my discharge attended Cal Poly in S.L.O. for three years and finished off my Degree at Cal State Sacramento. During this time was married, and after I finished my degree, my wife wanted to attend the University of British Columbia in Victoria, where we lived for two years prior to moving to Seattle. Spent eight years in Seattle working in the King Crab industry, and split my time building 160 ft. crab boats, and flying to the Aleutian Island to fix them. stralia for 28 years where I was married and had two great boys, now 25 and 26. I spent 12 years designing and manufacturing clothing in Melbourne, and than moved to the Gold Coast in Queensland where I went back to my first love which was the construction industry, where I bought, sold remodeled and redeveloped properties. After 23 years my marriage again ended when my wife prefered the company of a Balinese conga player to mine. I looked up an old aquaintance whom I'd known for many years on a visit to London, and we decided that it was better to be together than apart, and I sold up and moved to a mountainside overlooking a beautiful bay and the Irish Sea in far Northwest Wales where I now reside in a place that I have determined to be, " the way the world should be ". It is a far cry from throwing oranges across the Quad at Reseda High School at my buddies, but have, all in all, had a wonderfully varied and exciting life that looking back in hindsight, as we all do from time to time at our ages, I wouldn't change a thing...................
