Life 1980 - left DHS a little early - it was so boring. 1981 - Hooked up with Misty - moved to Austin. Took 6 weeks or so getting there, Grand Canyon, Mexico, etc. 1982 - Back to Calif, Davis, Sac, then finally Berkely. Managing the Bears Lair Pub and Grill on UC Berkley campus - somehow, noone notices I'm 19 and running the campus bar. 1983 - Misty and I get married - Dovlynn is born, the most beautiful little life ever to reach earth - bar none! 1985 - Apparently the "can't get pregnant while breast feeding" rule is a trick - Damien born.. and glad for it every freaking day since. 1986 - 1992 Simply insane work, raise kids, check to check, relocate for new assignments every year including Intel, Seagate, PGE, PacTel, HP, holy moly. To numb, young and stupid to know any better - there were so many challanges and holy crap moments, but it was a good time. We had ourselves - that was enough. Moving was exhuasting - At one point, I had to, but no time to move, tired, living in 2 story apt. Threw it all off balcony, somewhat liberating. 1993 - 1995 Moved to Kwajalein Atoll in Marshall Islands. Was a liberating experiance in a number of ways - It was rent and tax free, so we took a step in finances. We also were as active and fulfilled a time I can remember - working hard - kids had longer school hours, yet we were always at the beach, BBQ's with friends, boating in the lagoon, etc. At work, I had 140 Marshallese working for me - sometime they would be at my house appealing to my wife because of whatever. They were so sweet. Misty and I worked hard to reach out to them - attended their functions. When we left they gave us a traditional departing party - first time for a anglo. They made us cloths - wemon wrote 6 or so songs and sand them in traditional group dances - unbelieveable. Left Kwaj to relocate to Livermore CA. Had 5-6 weeks before house goods arrived by ship - so we went to Portugal, Azores, and Spain. In Azores met family as first US...Expand for more
