In his capacity as department director, Steven had fiscal oversight over a department that secures program grants, develops statistical analyses and charts spending patterns. Steven also directed political organizing, mobilization and lobbying campaigns on working family issues in Los Angeles County, Sacramento and Washington D.C.
Steven is an Assistant Pastor of S.E.A.M. Faith Family Church in Chino, CA.He has taught Christian based alcohol and drug recovery for the past 15 years.
Steven has an established reputation as a superior political organizer. He has served as lead organizer on several successful labor campaigns in the past decade including: African American Vote 2000, No on Proposition 38, Jerome Horton for 51st Assembly District, No on 227, Mark Ridley-Thomas for 48th Assembly, Martin Ludlow for LA City Council, 10th District, Karen Bass for 47th Assembly District, and Betty Karnette for Assembly in 2005.
