Steven's Story

Life The big 30 has come and gone, of the seasons of life I find myself in summer. I hated high school, I hold no illusions about that. I felt it was all so pointless, the bonds between 'friends' that wouldn't last a day past graduation, the 'education' that was just a review of what you already had learned, and the incessant babbling from people who you wished were mutes. of life's wonders. Today I live with my wife of three years and my one year old son. No one could have explained to me the joys of fatherhood before I held my son, you just can't put things like that into words. We play ball at night when his mother is at work, perhaps for no other reason than my own dad never took the time for it. I work in the tech sector, but I saw the bubble bursting long before the pop and maneuvered myself into a place where I wouldn't be too adversely affected. I want to get back to college and do something else with my life, working with computers all day gets old...and makes you old. The most important thing that I have learned over the course of my life is the meaning of this phrase, "What is given has no value."
