ups and downs and challenges. I've moved from place to place. I loved Austin and sometimes wish I'd never left, though I really loved Portland, Oregon like a second home. Phoenix was nice, too. Recently I've returned to my first love, fiction writing, and that's been immensely rewarding. Plus I've been trying to reconnect with old friends and that's rewarding too.
And now I've come full circle, in a way, back to my second home, Portland. All I can say about Portland is summed up by a sign painted on the wall of a building downtown, just across the street from Voodoo Donuts: "KEEP PORTLAND WEIRD".".
