The Year 1955 was a watershed year for SteveVonGass...A Career at GTE of California, Started with climbing poles and replacing open wire leads across the So Cal Area of Westminster and Long Beach...SATCOM and Space Shots at old Vultee Air in DOWNEY Calif, Thru the U.S.Space years... Retired from GTE, in 1984 and completed a Computer Support Contract with the LONG BEACH NAVAL SHIPYARD From 1986 thru 1993. Met My "bride " SUE at TARGET in 1985 and we Wed in 1991, A Very Lucky Choice for ME !! ... Our Shipbord Crusing Era began shortly after Sue's TARGET Retirement from T-195. Today Feb 1st 2013 Finds Me in Good Health and Great Condition... I can Remember the "BLUFFS" and "The SANDPIT" Where many Fond Events Occurred... Old Auto Tire BonFires at the Beaches...White Port and Gin with Grapefruit Consumptions at the SandPit... Chugging BEERS at the end of Ocean Ave. Seal Beach, Next to the Old Edison Plant There...Glad I Survived ... And, of Couse...The Ladies of Choice will not forget...ME? HA? Tell Me, If YOU Do??
