Stuart's Story

I have lived in the southern USA since the 90's. The weather is great, mountains nearby and the ocean is just a few hours away. Snow is a freak event, and we just stay in and wait for it to melt by noon. I work for a large multi-national and developed / run a workgroup charged with ensuring human and workplace rights are respected in the supply chain. The best part of the work is seeing the difference it makes in the lives of the people that live in the communities we do business in. To do this, I fly over 200,000 miles annually and spend about 60% of my time out of the country. I work with employees, customers, suppliers, government, NGO, labor and just plain people in communities around the word. When not working I enjoy traveling .....Expand for more
. did two weeks in Hawaii and one week in Paris this year ... going to hockey games, theater, dining out or driving my Miata in the mountains. Of course, being the south, I have a pick up for driving around on the weekend and a nice car for the commute to work. My dogs enjoy romping up at the lake as well. I am paying a lot more attention to healthy living, so I am eating far better, working out and getting rid of excess pounds. I have a daughter at the U of T and working on the final phase of getting her Doctorate in geology. My son lives in Victoria and enjoys the life style that area affords. I have family in Toronto and Chicago. Life is good, but I guess a lot of that is what you choose to make it. I hope things are well with you.
