Stuart's Story
After graduating from Topeka High I attended and graduated from Washburn University with a BBA degree. While at Washburn I was a proud member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
My career involved 3 very different industries. I started out with The Fleming Companies in Houston, Denver, and Joplin divisions attaining the position of Frozen Food and Dairy Merchandising Manager. I left them and started my career in the sales field with two different food brokers attaining the position of Division Manager of the Wichita Division. After seeing the "handwriting on the wall" with the future of the food broker opportunities I decided to try something I always thought I would like do and that is the automobile industry. Without detailing all of my experiences and positions suffice it to say that I worked for both Chevy and Ford dealers and attained the final position of Finance and Business Manager.

I married my current wife of 47 years in 1968. She was a graduate of Highland Park and attended K-State. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 4 delightful grandchildren. Two daughters and their families live here in Springfield also so we see everyone quite often. Our youngest daughter, Stacy, was abducted by a stranger (or strangers) in 1992 after her high school graduation and we forever hold on to the hope of seeing her again someday. We both do a lot of interaction with the U.S. Department of Justice as it concerns missing and abducted persons cases and law enforcement training interaction.
Janis and I are spending our time in retirement traveling and camping by RV in the states. We hope to also do more international traveling in the future. We love the lakes and all water sports. I hope to see as many as possible at our 55th reunion.
