Stuart's Story

We moved from Foley, AL to Cramerton, NC in 1964, where I graduated from high school in 1967.. It may be hard to believe, but I eventually spent (and enjoyed) 27 years as a police officer in Washington, DC., finally retiring in 1998. During those years I rode my motorcycle from DC to the west coast several times, as well as to Alaska and back, and managed to pick up three college degrees at American University (BA, MS, and a Law Degree). I'm still a member of the Bar but haven't practiced much, relying on my generous police pension. In 2001 I married a second time, this time to Laura Juarez-Davila, a diplomat...Expand for more
from Mexico City. She has since retired from the Mexican Foreign Ministry and was Head of Administration for an international corporation for several years. She now enjoys her position as administrative assistant at our local Roman Catholic Church, where she is much loved and appreciated. Her older son, Miguel, is an engineer just north of Wilmington, De., and her younger son, Carlos, has finished college in Mexico. All three are US citizens. We very much enjoy living in Washington, DC, and I'm enjoying a life of leisure. My son Ronnie lives in Gastonia, NC with his wonderful son Ethan and daughter Allison.
