Sue's Story
Hello my dear OLD school chums! After H.S. guess I took the road most travelled. Went to Foothill JC for a year but my dad wanted me to get a job, so worked at Westinghouse in Sunnyvale and GTE (formerly Sylvania) where I met my Ex-hub 2B (he later took Engr. job with Hew-Pac), but unfortunately we divorced later down the road. Have one son who still lives in bay area. Later worked at some well known Silicon valley companies and also did a short stint in med. assisting.
Sold home of 28 yrs. in Santa Clara end of 1999, and relocated to the Far North (definitely not like the bay area ratrace). Currently live in nice complex with scenic views of Trinity mtns. Mt. Shasta and Lassen, and only 10 min. to Shasta Dam and lake. Have been able to take some of those roads less travelled now (Pac NW and coast, visits with fam in Sacto, bay area and couple longer drives to Ogden, Yewtah). My older sis lives there, and my mom sold home in San Jose year after I moved and is now in UT and we celebrated her 100th birthday last week.
I'm doing ok on my own but single life can get lonely. Retired early (actually just quit working!), so have time to share, and would love to reconnect with anyone who remembers me or would like to get re-acquainted. Can reach me via Sioux_mail at Yaw...Expand for more
Hoo, or on Facebook (Susan E. Hardin) and also in local directory, so let me know if you are ever in my area and I'll treat you to a FREE tour around here! Whiskeytown Lake is very pretty area and not far from me, and our new Sundial bridge and river trails are very scenic, as well as variety of other local sites. '63 grad, Sue (Arnold) Hardin
School
I liked most of my teachers except for one who gave me a 'D' in Biology! Think my best memories are the silly things we did AFTER school, or at some of the school functions. I stuck my head in the French Club photo in '62 (I think?) and best friend and I used to tell folks we were going to church so we could borrow car, and then would just CRUISE around (back in the days of cheap gas)! $:o) After graduation, we would cruise First Street downtown San Jose (like in American Graffiti), and also drive all the way to SF via El Camino Real. People weren't in such a big hurry back then!
College
Had more fun AFTER college when I finally moved out, had a job and some independence! Think many of us went thru the usual dating nightmares and broken hearts, and some shallow friendships that we wasted our time on, but hopefully can laugh about it now. It's never too late to make new friends!
