Hi All,
For many years I was bouncing around from school to school, from contract to contract, as I started my teaching career in the age of declining enrollments. I have taught in the several systems and many schools, including public, private, penal, and native reserve systems. I am currently teaching grade 9 for the second year in the Northern Alberta community of Atikameg. (4 1/2 hour drive NW of Edmonton) My daughter is completing her Physical Education degree this year at U of A in Edmonton, which makes me a very proud Mom! O...Expand for more
ddly enough, my first degree was PE from McMaster University.(ha ha... apple doesn't fall far)
I moved from Hamilton to the West in 1983. With the exception of a 2 year stay in Namaimo, BC, we have lived in the mountains in Alberta. Skiing is fabulous! My permanent home is now in Kimberley, BC - a great, somewhat undiscovered, ski hill. As the economy is very depressed in BC, I live and work out of province for 10 months of the year. My next goal in life is to be a "retired" teacher....Not too many years left now.. Take care all, hope to hear from you. Sue
