Sue's Story
Life
Hi,
I am now in Batesville, MS. I work at the University of Mississippi, School of Business in Oxford, MS as an Assistant to the Sr. Assoc. Dean of Administration working with the budget and ordering all supplies for the School and the professors.
We have had 4 children and 6 grandchildren. One daughter (Shauna Sue) deceased as a baby. Our other 3 children, Rick (44), his wife (Alyce) and daughter (Alexandria - 15) live South of Oxford.MS; Brian (42), his wife (Kristie) and 2 sons (Blake - 19 and Keith - 17) and daughter (Haley - 13) live just south of Jackson, MS; and Michelle (37)and daughter (Ceara - 17) and son (Jake - 9) live in Gulf Breeze, FL.
I feel that I have had a great life and have a lot more to accomplish before I even think of leaving this world!
I became a double amputee in 2003, with 15 operations and most of 8 months in the hospital, was back home 2 weeks after the last one and back to work 1/2 time in 3 weeks and working full time in a month total. I am still working full time. I love to go to Tunica, MS (about an hour away) and gamble for fun! I love to go to ...Expand for more
movies both with my husband and grandchildren. I got all of my grandchildren into the movie spoof called "Strictly Ballroom" at an early age and they still love to watch it when they come to the house for visits.
I still enjoy listening to all types of music, except Opera. Although I do like the old (older than me) Nelson Eddy and Jeanette McDonald Operettas. I listen to Sirius Gold Oldie but Goodies. Just can't beat our good old time rock n roll. I also listen to my childrens and grandchildrens music; but I don't care for "rap".
I am pretty good with computers, both using them and upgrading (hardware) them. Although sometimes I have to rely on Brian to help me out when I hit a tough problem. Sometimes I just have to leave them alone and go back later!!!!!!!!!!!
I have never tried the playstations, WiWi's etc. So I am just plain dumb when it comes to those! I don't do PDA's, etc. I can text msg.; but am not really interested in that either and I don't live on my cell phone. It is so the kids can reach me if they need to or I need it for an emergency.
