Sue's Story
I enlisted in the United States Navy right out of High School in 1973. Bootcamp was a hoot. My first duty station was VR21(Fleet Tactical Support Squadron) stationed at NAS Brewer Field Hawaii. My job consisted of Line Division. My first TAD experience happened in 1975 when I assisted with Operation Babylift and Frequent Wind, through the end of the Vietnam Conflict. Also, the evacuation of Saigon.
An experience I will never forget, nor will the nightmares that continue today let me. I transferred to NAS Agana Guam Weapons Department, where I earned my MOS. I assisted with the relocation with refugees and evacuees.
My last duty station was NAS Lemoore where my duties consisted of Weapons Administration Officer where I advanced in rank to AO2(Aviation Ordnance 2nd Class).
After destroying my knee in 1975 by falling out of a huey, I was medically discharged in 1981 and have been fighting for my medical rights ever since.
I live in Northern Arizona now with my animals. More loyal than most people.
When I can, and my physical abilities let me, I enjoy fishing, camping, photography, music, reading and just living my life the best I can.

es, some of them don't remember me. I could not make it to the last reunion but am planning on attending the next. Hopefully my disability will allow me to travel that distance as I live 200 plus miles away.
At Catalina,I played violin in the orchestra and softball on the team. What a combo.
Today, I just fight the VA for my rights, as I was medically discharged and I enjoy my animals.
About the past: I attended Davidson Elementary, Doolen Junior High than Catalina High School. My sisters Jeri, who passed recently was a year ahead of me and Darlene was a year behind me throughout my school years. I was never what you called talkative, unless you got to know me, then you couldn't shut me up.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 20% of it to Starship Foundation and the ASPCA, then spend the rest on Me, Me and Family..
My current age is to old to remember. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be smarter than they actually are. I was so completely right in my deduction as I fall in my own category.
I share my home with my animals, which I find comforting and reliable.
No trophies, but I do have my military medals I was awarded.
Will edit more later.
