Sue's Story
Life
Moved to Florida in 1991 with my boyfriend in a Winnebago... got rid of everything and started over, got married in 1992 after a 3yr relationship.
Started to work at WALT DISNEY WORLD Co. in 1993 in Food & Beverage. Worked as a cocktailer, server, and lead bartender at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort. I got pregnant in 1996; with a bad back at 8 months pregnant I had to go on light duty...helped out all of the Secretaries throughout the resort, and in the GM's office.
In 1995 I bought a home on 10 acres....the real florida...was absolutely beautiful..
I had a beautiful daughter (Jessica Eileen) on Oct 27th 1996. When returning from maternity leave the GM called and asked if I wanted to work up with them... worked in the GM's office for three years. From there I got a promotion as a Secretary and supported all areas, Merchandise, F&B, Finance, Labor, HR... After another promotion I supported the F&B Ops Manager and 30 managers/chefs under her. Continued to support the Merchandise dept as well.. supported them for 6 years each, still at the Yacht & Beach Club Resort. I was at the Y&B Club for a total of 14years. It was my home away from home. New England themed resort.
Last year, 2006, I got a promotion and am now the Executive Secretary, supporting the Director of Food & Beverage Product Development, working backstage Disney-MGM Studio...Expand for more

Within the past 6 years I have been seperated/divorced from my husband, supporting my daughter on my own. We are doing fantastic. She is an absolutely wonderful girl, 10 now...wow, how time flies... she is a strong, independent, fun, happy girl. We are best friends..but also have to have the Mom/Daughter relationship...
So that's it for now... lot's of fun, excitement, pain, hurt, frustration, stress, etc...in between...but who doesn't get all that in life.

It is now July 7, 2009 - will update with new pix soon, but updates. . .
Last April '08 I am now the Executive Secretary for the GM of F&B at Epcot. I am supporting the lady that I supported at the Y&B for the 6+ years. She got promoted to the GM and I am now her asst. again, finally! Since all of the layoffs this past March; I am also the Executive Secretary for the Director of Engineering Services, the Project Manager and the F&B Finance Manager. Yes more work, but am happy and lucky to have a job. So doing the job of two exec secs and getting the pay of one...hahah..it's all good.
Oh - yes, my daughter is now 12, going on 14, uggg... but still a great girl, no complaints at all; and yes, still a single mom but am in a relationship.
