Sue's Story
Life
Many of you probably remember Ron Riley - well, we did get married in 1990, moved to California and then Kansas City and then Grove, Oklahoma. In 1999, we had a son. In 2000, we got divorced! (The "life of Riley" was NEVER dull!!).
My son, Joseph, is now 9 and in 4th grade. He is the light of my life! My parents and brother still live in Houston. I moved to Broken Arrow, OK (for a man - yikes! ) in 2006. That relationship ended and I'm now just doing the working, parenting thing while trying to date when I can.
Wow, for a life bio, this wasn't very exciting! I am happy with where I am at in life. Sure, there have been disappointments, but overall I have been very blessed.
School
In our crazy society today, I hope that I am able to send my son to a school like LHS. Sure, there are pros and cons to private schools but it scares me to think that my son will have to walk through metal detectors to ...Expand for more
enter his middle school!
I really appreciate the small class sizes, the caring (though often eccentric) teachers and my closest friends. I wish I had participated more in my senior year - my rebellious side kicked in! And I wish that I had stayed in touch with my girlfriends.
College
After H.S., I attended Houston Community College part-time while working. When I ended up in KC a few years later, I completed my Assoc Degree (Liberal Arts since I was still trying to decide what I wanted to be when I grew up!). I enjoyed school and would still like to pursue a Bachelor's but I think I'm too old now. Plus, with a family now, it's difficult to find time to work and go to school.
Workplace
I am a licensed P&C insurance agent. I work for an independent agent selling and servicing primarily home and auto insurance. It is a "desk job" but I enjoy meeting new people and my day is rarely dull.
