Sue's Story
Life
After high school, I went to Wayne State University and
received a BA in Elementary Education. While in college,
I met Bill Imle. He was a Coast Guard pilot stationed at
Selfridge Air Force Base. We were married in November of
1992. I became the proud mom of my husbands four year old
daughter, Malia. Our son Steven was born in November of
1993. In 1995 we moved to Kodiak, Alaska and lived there
for two years. Our daughter, Melissa, was born there. We
moved back to Michigan in 1997 and lived in Traverse City
for four years. During this time I was a stay-at-home mom.

nt there. Our house was about 30
minutes south of San Francisco. When our daughter started
kindergarten, I started to work. I also received a
Masters as a Reading Specialist from Santa Clara
University. My husband retired from the Coast Guard the
summer of 2005. We moved from California to Alabama. We
had two wonderful years here together. I am a first grade
teacher, my oldest, Malia, is in college in MIchigan,
Steven is in 8th grade and Melissa is in the 6th grade.
Bill went to be with our Lord on September 3 of this year.
A drunk driver took him from us. I will continue to live in Alabama
with our children until they graduate from high school.
