Sung's Story
Life
A long story after Hawaii. I went back to the states, Oklahoma to be exact. I survived Junior High and High School and went to enlist in the military. I joined the Air Force. My first assignment was Keesler AFB MS. Great city of Biloxi, spent four years there, then I went to Korea, spent a year at an Army base. That was interesting. My return to the states would take me to Utah. Ah, the nice snow and ski. Too bad I didn't get a chance to do any of that. I'm currently deployed to the wonder country of Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom. This is as of 2 July 2004. If you know me and wonder what I have been up, write me. I'll tell you all about it.
Military
Awesome start in the military. I was delayed enlisted for about a year before I actually went to basic training. I was told that I would qualify for a lot of jobs when I went there and not to worry about going in Open General. Wrong! I got stuck with Health Services Management...Expand for more
, fancy name for medical admin. Well I survived my path of papers cuts and record sorting to eventually move to an great office. It was considered non-traditional for my career field. I was working at a medical research facility. To date, I have to say that it was the most demanding yet statisfying job I've had. Soon after, I cross-trained into the 3C0X1, Communications, Computer Systems Operations. Yes, I crossed into the tech geek world. Tech school was a breeze, but that's because they only teach the basics there. My first place as a new 3C0 was Keesler. I learned a lot over there. Next, I went to Korea, Camp Humphreys, Combat Communications Squadron. A new world that was. Now, Hill AFB, about the same as a CBCS, but this is an Air Control Squadron. After two and half months of reporting for duty, they send me to Iraq, yippie!!, but I volunteered to go, so I can't get mad. I'm looking forward to what the rest of my career will take me.
