Susan's Story
Life
I live on a ranch with my family. We experienced the empty nest about twenty years ago when our two children left home, and now we have mulitipled to be eleven. Out of two children and their spouces we have five grandchildren. We all bought a big ranch in central CA and live together again. We all work together and love it. Our son is a Pastor and our daughter runs a horse facility. I am a Christian speaker and author. I married the man of my youth 45 years ago and he is semi-retired. d and I were in an accident sixteen years ago and were severly burned. Our lives changed in a moment. It took the first five years after the accident to be put back together again. Since then we have been working with burned families all over the world. I speak on behalf of burn survivors at burn conferences and American Burn Ass. Our story "Out of the Fire" has been published in the Today's Christian Womans magazine. Also, "Desires of the Heart" was published in Chicken Soup for the Christian Womans Soul. My life since High School has had many challenges but my faith has carried me through.
