Susan's Story
Life after St.Nicks/Willy's:
Attended Fox Business College & went to work as a legal secretary in 1970 in Chicago. Moved out of Roseland & got my own place on the north side in 1971. Married a nice guy in 1973; had a beautiful daughter (Rebecca) in 1980; had #1 son (Jake) in 1985; had #2 son (Josh) in 1991. Moved to Wilmette in 1984. Received bachelor's degree in business from Northeastern IL University in late '80's. Completed master's degree in community counseling in 2004. Divorced the nice guy in 2004. Still live in Wilmette with the love of my life (down the street from the nice guy so Josh can easily float between his Dad and me). Work as a legal secretary by day...Expand for more
(which pays the bills) and counselor by night (which pays my rent on the planet). Rebecca is now 31 & a photographer in Austin, TX. Jake is now 26, married to a wonderful young woman & dad of two fantastic sons. Jake is a United States Marine and will be deploying to Africa in June. Josh is now 21, and a junior at Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA. I've also acquired a great step-son, Ben (25) who is in the United States Air Force, currently stationed in Colorado, deploying to Quatar in June. I'm very happy, healthy, and feel blessed to have a great family, a wonderful relationship at long last, and 2wo-- count 'em!-- 2wo good jobs! Life is great fun, and God is good!
