Susan's Story
Life
Hi Everyone. As of 2012, I am living in North Salt Lake, UT. My daughter moved here in 2009 after graduating from Nursing school at the University of Arizona. She was accepted to the ICU training program and after graduating was obligated to give back two years working at U of U. She is still there and works in Cardiovascular ICU and is also a Nursing Supervisor. In March of 2013, she gave birth to my first granddaughter, Zoey. She is now 3 and is a pistol. In April of 2015 she gave birth to my second granddaughter, Raemi. She is now 15 months old and also a little pistol. My son in law has his hands full for sure.
I am working as an Applications System Analyst for the University of Utah Hospital System. I enjoy the work very much, but am hoping to retire in the next few years. My husband is in poor health and has dementia, so I have my hands full with work and taking ...Expand for more
care of everything else. I am looking forward to the upcoming reunion in 2018.
Update: On August 25, 2017 my husband of 29 yrs (together over 30 yrs) passed away. It is still kind of strange not having him around. My daughter's husband was diagnosed with lung cancer in March of 2017 and passed away September 19th, 2017. I am still in shock and grief that such a vibrant young man (couldn't ask for a better son in law) had to suffer as much as he did and then leave behind two beautiful daughters. My granddaughters are now 5 and 3 and miss their daddy every day. My daughter and JD were married 10 yrs (together around 15 yrs). He had just turned 39 when he passed.
Life is short, love and cherish your family, we only get one shot on this rock. Make it count. Hopefully will see many of you at the reunion.
