Finally underway. Dinner was really good and we met our table-mates for the duration of the cruise. Nice people. But this picture of the sun is a pretty awesome sight.

On Sunday we were in Skagway, a town with a year-round population of 400-800. When a cruise ship of 2000+ people come to Skagway, the locals are definitely out- numbered. We took the N Gauge White Pass Railroad to the 2885'
Someone said we might see the Northern Lights. All I saw was the moon at 1 a.m. from our balcony.

I just took this at 10:40 p.m. It truly is a beautiful sunset.
Goodbye Island Princess. We left her for the last time around 6:15 this morning.
They put us on a train for 5.5 hours to Talkeetna. We had lunch there and walked around the little town before we got on a bus for an hour to get to Mt. McKinley Wilderness Lodge.
This isn't a very good picture. Sorry. This pink flowering plant is Fireweed. It grows wild everywhere. Today we took a ride up 3 rivers, all fed by glacier melt off and all running about 12 miles per hour. On the way back
Somewhere up there under the clouds is Mt. McKinley. We're hoping to see it without clouds but don't know if that will happen.
