Susan's Story

As of July 13 I have become a resident of Greenville, SC. I am currently in retirement status. Hopefully will be able to pick up some yoga classes and maybe some pet sitting. My goal in moving to SC is to get closer to the mountains and do more hiking. I'm so glad to get away from the Atlanta traffic. I did c...Expand for more
omplete the Georgia Appalacian Trail in October.It was done in day hikes. I have taken up backpacking and have done some in North Crolina and Virginia, and will continue with that. Am going to Bryce and Zion canyons in Utah in October and the Grand Canyon. Sorry to miss the class reunion, but just a busy year!

Snowing in s. Carolina
Jake's mountain trail loop,dalonaga,ga Officially 10 miles but my watch indicated at least 11 1800 elevation. Easy enough trail. Shared with horses and bikes,but very on trail today.
Last year I built the large pallet deck. Finished today the small one and the lattice background. Another outdoor home project done. (At least for this year). I'm Planting some camillas and azaleas HD has 50 percent off

Didn't make the 41 miles. After 13 miles on first day and not a good night's sleep, second day was only suppose to be about 7.5,and mutually decided to give it another 6. Yes,I am nuts and my downfall. Aft er 1.5 miles had
Great smokies parkway, about 6200' I think. Hiked 11 miles,rained,but stopped as we reached top for lunch break. Such beautiful country!
