Susan's Story
Life
I am a New Yorker living in a Chicago suburb. I am married and have a son who is an educator, musician and video artist. I received my Masters degree from University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1970 in Communicative Disorders and moved to Chicago where I practiced Speech Pathology for 12 years before moving into administrative and executive positions within non-profit social service agencies. ogy with children birth to three. I am a published poet. My first book of poems WAITING INNOCENCE was published in July, 2004. My second VISITING MORNING AND OTHER QUIET PLACES was published in 2008. I miss the ocean and beaches of Long Island and try to get back there occasionally. One of my poems will be installed with art work in the NYC subway at the Bensonhurst (79th St station on the D line) next fall. I teach writing classes and facilitate writing groups.
