Susan's Story
Decided I've had about all the school I can take for now. My husband contracted the H1N1 virus in September of 2009 after we returned from Cobo, Mexico. He was in ICU for 8 days in the hospital for a total of 16 days then home on oxygen until Jan. 2010. Very touch and go there for a while. Really makes you put everything in perspective. I have taken a subaticual from work so I could spend more time enjoying my family. I travel somewhere at least every 30 to 45 days. We own in the Bahamas, San Lucas, Mexico and a vacation home in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia. My list of important things to do in my life has changed. I have a beautiful granddaughter that turns 1 today. Please see my family pictures. I also found out that I have a sister in October of 2009. She's my best friend. We have a life time of sisterhood to make up for. We are so much alike. Even the field of work we both where in. I was a nurse, she was the office administrater of a hugh doctor's office. She now works for Tru...Expand for more
mp Phar. and is married a doctor (who I might say is a real jerk). Advise to any female that wants to hear it..never marry a doctor, about 95% of cheat and 98% of them are jerks. I believe they take God 101 and God 102 while their in medical school or least they think they do. On a better note life is good. Hope everyone from the class of 1978 have all reached for the stars and accomplished at least one of their dreams. Those special classmates that are no longer with us the memory of them will always be with me. I remember to always say a prayer at night for their loved ones. Sure hope this is just a small part of my story and there will be many more chapters to come.
I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a unreachable idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
I have a very low tolerance for stupidity. Still do!
Try to take a deep breath and find the postive in things. Do something for myself. Long bubble baths and a glass of wine. Some slow R&B.
