Susan's Story
Life
I started out in Pico Rivera, and ended up in Rancho Cucamonga. In between those two cities, I went to college in Idaho, Utah, Hawaii, and even Israel. As cosmopolitan as those college years were, I settled on marrying a fellow Pico Riverian...Dennis Jackson (El Rancho ASB president, 1968). We had 8 children (two deceased). I have one married son, finishing his M.A. in computer science. Another son is studying at BYU. My beautiful daughter is heading to BYU on a scholarship in the fall. Three younger boys at home are keeping me feeling young.
My life's work has been in music. I taught piano at Whittier Piano & Organ Center after college. Late...Expand for more
r I was an accompanist in the school districts, and taught privately. Currently I keep darn busy as a free-lance accompanist/private teacher. I find that even playing a gig in a hospital cafeteria can be very satisfying. In the 21st century, with IPods and elevator music piped everywhere, people still love to hear live music.
And I love playing it.

That's OK. No matter what age you are, someone is always older, and someone is younger. But if you're reading this, it means that sometime in my early life, we knew each other. We share some common memories. Thanks for being a part of my life!
