Susan's Story

Life Left Springdale in '77 for the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix, AZ) and have been a "desert rat" since then. I still consider NWA my home, but my life and family are here in Arizona. Was blessed to find a career in the dental field (started working in high school) and enjoy my work immensely. I visit NW AR and NE OK as often as possible. We have a lake house in Grove, OK where we spend lazy days watching the boats go by and the sun setting. Married ('77), divorced, remarried ('88) and have 3 wonderful children (Colby, Aaron and Lauren), a wonderful daughter-in-law, Terra, and 2 delicious grandson (Isaiah and Tyson). Life is very good. n December celebrate my 50th. We have spent the last year getting to know each other on several visits and through emails and calls. I was blessed with two more grandsons, Joey and Sebastian, and a new son-in-law Kevin. This has been the most incredible year and it's amazing to see how God's plan is so much better than anything we could have imagined! Workplace Starting working for Dr. Bennett in Springdale as a dental assistant in '72 and worked for him through graduation. On the job training got my foot in the door and continuing education and college classes moved me into administration. I managed a group practice in Texas, but have been in my current position since 1982. Love my co-workers and my patients are like family after so many years. I can't imagine doing anything else......at least not until I retire.
