Where has the time gone? After leaving Willowbrook at the end of my junior year, I went to the University of Illinois at Chicago Circle for a year and then transferred to the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where I earned my B.A. in 1974. My husband, Tim Sullivan, and I were married in 1972. Following college, I worked for a couple of years in Washington for non-profit groups on housing and food policy. We moved to the Seattle area in 1976 so that Tim could attend law school. We lived there for 45 years and are still glad we decided to raise our family there. It has been a gorgeous place to live, with a moderate climate, many social and cultural amenities, and a culture that truly values families and communities. Our daughter, Sarah, was born in 1978. Our oldest son, Kevin, was born in 1986 while I was in graduate school at the University of Washington (MBA '88). Matthew arrived in 1990. We thought our family was complete at that point, but as they say, life is what happens while you are making other plans! One of my first cousins died in 1995, leaving two young sons, whom we subsequently adopted. Joey is four months younger than Matt, and Danny was born in 1992.
