Susan's Story
Life
Oh my gosh! My life biography.... well, I don't want to bore anyone with too many details. Let's just say after high school I went thru the party phase (which lasted a little longer than I would have liked, in hindsight, of course); finally got my bachelor's degree in Business/Mktg. in 1990 at the age of 30; became a homeowner at the age of 32; have had relationships, two long-term but never married or had children. The only child in my life is my sweet little niece, Ava Rose, ..... and well, I guess I can count my cats (DC, Puddins, Peepers, Socrates, Romeo, Benjamin, and Tabitha) and my bullfrog Max is family too... I love to garden, fix up my house, hang with friends, philosophize, and be silly and childlike whenever possible! I'm currently a signing agent/mobile notary public (mostly mortgage loan documents), but with the slowdown in the market I am taking the opportunity to sharpen my stock trading skills and get into investment real estate. I have also added to my repetoire helping people avoid foreclosure. And, I'm networking Monavie, the acai berry juice.... awesome stuff.
School
Marching Band was probably the best part of high school for me. Playing in band with great, wholesome kids with Gary Dee...Expand for more
ter as band director was awesome. Remember how Mr. Deeter used to threaten to take a job at FCC? Well, I'm sure you all know he did go there.... matter of fact, he just retired, and had his retirement party on May 3, 2008.
College
It took me forever to finish college... started at SDSU, finished at CSUF... majored in Business, minor in Psychology, and concentration in Philosophy. I was a member of AKPsi, the business fraternity... I stay in touch with one former AKPsi member... would like to connect with the rest of you out there...
Workplace
I feel very lucky and blessed that I love my work. My main "job" is as a "signing agent" which is mobile notary work for mortgage loan companies and title companies. I have also started helping folks avoid foreclosure thru short sales. That is very rewarding to me helping people save their credit so that they can buy again. I also play the stock market, but after a big hit am taking a break from that. What I love most is about being self-employed is that even though my schedule is always up in the air, I can schedule my own time, and I don't have to deal with the usual workplace politics. I work only with people I choose to work with and that eliminates so much stress!!
