Life
My Pets
I have w dogs and a cat. My first dog of my own I found on Stanton Avenue in Lawrenceville. My 2nd dog my mom gave to me and my cat was dropped off in my from yard with a gashed neck and malnurished. They are my babies and they are spoiled rotten. My smallest dog is 4 yrs old and she has eaten her way through 3 metal dog cages and broken her teeth. She is only 25 pounds.
My Job
I am the Director of an Information and Advocacy Center for the mentally ill. My job in addition to supervising I also do advocating for people and I am doing systems advocacy. ver the same. I have done it all, from advocating in court cases, to demonstrations to 302ing people. I have had some close calls where some rather large unhappy consumers decided to take their anger and frustration out on me but I am still there. I get to help people with every aspect of their life everday. They always say first you just want to save on person's life. Wrong, after you have done it once you want to do it again and again and again and the feeling never changes no matter how many times you do it. Through this job I was also able to design the logo for the organization and the logo for the Allegheny COunty Coalition for Recovery. I am a co chair on the public awareness committee. I am a workaholic but I love it most days.
