Susan's Story

Oh my God...it's almost 20 years now! How time flies when you're having fun! A little about me in the past 17 (or so) years... After high school, I graduated with a bachelor degree in finance and went to work in the banking industry. I married a guy I went to college with and immediately got pregnant. I quit working to be at stay-at-home mom. When my marriage didn't quite work out, I found myself having to enter the job market again and really ponder what I wanted to do...with a kid too!! I got my Masters in Elementary Education (following in my mom's footsteps..ugh! :)) I went to work as a 4th grade teacher and met my current husband. We have two children together. So, I have three kids...ALL boys...ages 9...Expand for more
, 4, & 3 and boy, am I busy! Luckily, I have been able to take time off to raise them as they are my priorities right now! Being a mom is definitely the hardest, greatest, most rewarding experience ever! I took up running over the years and completed my first marathon last summer! I've got another one coming up this fall, so I am constantly juggling my training schedule with my family schedule, which doesn't leave much extra time. I'm hoping some day I'll run like a Kenyan...in my dreams! :) I would love to reconnect with anyone interested. I remember high school seeming like the end-all-be-all of life and could never picture life without it. Now, I realize it was just the beginning.... Hope to talk soon!
