Susan's Story

I used to write stories in high school, and I used to assign them to my students ~ but it has been a LONG time since I attempted to write a story myself! But I'll try..... The highlights of my life have been people, always. Friends, students, classmates, family. I have LOVED being a mother. It has been extremely challenging at times, and I would hate to have had to do it alone; but I am proud and happy to be the mother of 4 fine, still- evolving adult children. We have had some really tough times; but we have survived and still love and respect one another. I am fortunate to be with a man who has put up with me for almost more years than I can count! It keeps getting better, for which I am soooooooo.....thankful! We have been fortunate to be able to travel a lot in recent years. Two years ago we learned to scuba dive, and that has been awesome!! A few weeks ago we were in Roatan and got to dive with about 15 -20 Black Tip Sharks. They were so beautiful and graceful! I didn't have time to be scared because they kept me spell bound! We've lived in Montana for a lot of years, and this past year have re-located to Southern Idaho temporarily, (to erect the steel for a 12,000 cow dairy). But now we are thinking "more sunshine,...Expand for more
" more playtime!" Soon we'll be going back to Bozeman; and then we'll see where we go from there. I guess I should also add that being "Grandma" has been absolutely awesome!! Of course, we don't have ordinary grandkids!! LOL!! Taylor (age 9) is gifted and talented and a wonderful, caring little girl. Braden just turned 4, and has just made it through his first 6 months of Type 1 diabetes. It hasn't slowed him down a bit, though. I wish that more of you who are registered on Classmates would write your stories. They aren't being graded!! And I'd love to know about your lives, too. I guess I should also admit that I never went back to teaching full time after we left Bonners Ferry. I did a lot of sub -ing, and went back to school to get my 5th year, but the right opportunity never came along; and I just felt that staying home and being "Mom" was more important. I am really proud of my daughter-in-law who just got her Masters, and is also a teacher. I keep telling her we should sub in the same district and the kids would wonder if they were getting the "old" Mrs. Eoff or the "young" Mrs. Eoff!! Ha Ha! Anyway, I'd really like to read YOUR stories on here, too. Hope you all have had a wonderful. productive, and happy life!!!!
