Hello to everyone, I hope you all are doing well. It's fun to see peoples names s that you recognize online as once being your classmates at school.I have a five year old little girl named April.I am a very proud mom, she started kindergarten this Monday and is doing well.Last year when she was in preK4, she did great.She had a wonderful teacher and she loved meeting her new friends.It started off as a great year and then in October,I got very sick.I was in the hospital,ICU for 17 days.I had emergency surgery with several complications and almost wasn't here to write this update.Thank God I am still here with my daughter and my family and friends.Unfortunately,one of the complications involved cutting off the...Expand for more
circulation to my arms and legs to get my other organs working properly again.Due to that trauma,when I was released from the hospital in December,I was told that I may have my feet amputated in the future due to lack of circulation and how long it took to get that back again after 4 days.We waited,and waited for them to get better but they didn't.May 9,2005 I had my feet and half way up my legs amputated.I am learning how to walk on my new legs and feet now but what a challenge it is to do that.I am in therapy now and trying to do the best that I can to adapt to this new situation.I am thankful to still be alive and this obstacle will soon get easier with lots of practice.So, that's what I have been up to lately.
