Susan's Story
Life
I graduated with the best of Highline in 1966. Since then I was married for 33 years to Glacier grad Dan Kinsman (he passed away in 2000) We have two children, Brian and Theresa, and they gave us 9 grandchildren, they all live in the Skagit Valley, 2 1/2 hours away.
Since 2000 I was a foster mom for 10 children, retired from that and then worked in construction until I was injured on the job and then I retired.
Who said that retirement is just sitting on the front porch and watching the world go by? I have become VERY involved with the Auburn Sr. Center with things happening every day. We go hiking/walking; go to Broadway...Expand for more
plays; out to dinner and lunch; kayaking; coffee every morning; we spent New Year's Eve in Victoria, B. C.; will spend New Year's Eve 2010 on a cruise to Mexico; wine tasting in the Yakima Valley; Mariner's games. In other words I am busier now than when I was working!
I am enjoying traveling and camping. In 2010 I am taking a 13 day cruise to Mexico; in May go back to Brooklyn and Washington D. C., and then in November my grand daughter and I are taking a 9 day cruise to Mexico. In between all of that I go camping at the drop of a hat. The tent is in the back of my van all summer long, and if the weather is nice, I am gone.
