Sue's Story
2022. I really hoped when it started out that the pandemic would be over, and the world could get back to living. However, as we all know 'tis not the case. I feel that this pandemic will, in some form, always be with us and we as a people will learn to adapt and live the 'new' normal as best we can. ALWAYS AN ORIENTAL. Reading this over again, I see that I skipped 2021. Two words: IT SUCKED. I'll not complain though because I'm still feisty and kicking. We have lost classmates and so much more, but we must forge ahead and hope for better times. Time for a new update: 2020, what more can be said. So much sadness and loss from this year. Can't really say I wish it was over because it won't bring back the ones I've lost (my mom, my Beagle Rylee, my brother-in-law, sister-in-law and just as many in 2019. However, this has been a hard year on all of the world. th much better news. Be safe my friends. Update: it is now 2019 and it's almost half over but life is good in some aspects of my life while other parts of me have failed. Such is life. The failure has been a teaching moment that I've learned from. The best part is I've discovered things about myself that have been both surprising and very enjoyable. It is what I make of this newfound discovery and I'm looking forward to more surprises and enjoyment. The flock has left and taken her dog with her so the proverbial empty nest is back. Works for me!!!! LOL. Even though it rained on our 70th birthday party, mother nature didn't dampen the Oriental spirit within those who attended. EAST HIGH ORIENTALS ROCK. Two years have passed since my last writing. 2017 is now half over and life is okay. One of my flock has returned to the nest and I've gained (I mean Rylee, my Beagle has gained) a girlfriend, Roxi. Looking forward to the 70th birthday party for the Class of 66. I'm winding down and not looking forward to full retirement but hey, I've earned it. Hope to see as many of you as possible next year for the 70th birthday party reunion. "Til then, GO ORIENTALS.
