Susan's Story
Workplace
Susan began her career in real estate development and management in the early 1980Âs with a fortuitous meeting in Phoenix, Arizona. After working for several years in convention and merchandising services, a meeting with a California developer who saw something special resulted in a position as Manager of Development and Sales for a condominium development. Two years later Susan moved to Dallas, Texas where she advanced her education in real estate through a program at Richland College. She was the Real Estate Manager for Combined America Properties in Dallas until 1986 specializing in retail and office development. A downturn in the Dallas market resulted in PhilippÂs first foray into business ownership and the beginning of her own company, SJH Management. A family related relocation took her to Las Vegas.
SusanÂs first position in Las Vegas was with Southmark Commercial Management as Manager of the Retail Division. Thereafter she was hired by Torino Development to head up the management division and associated projects of the developer. Susan seized the opportunity to utilize her knowledge and education in the real estate field and when she was asked to serve as Vice President of Property Management for Coastal Partners. In addition to her real estate activities, Susan is co-owner with her husband of PhilippÂs Communications Company, a business telecommunications sales and service firm, PCC Electric, Inc. an electrical subcontracting firm and PCC Executive Services, Inc., a business administrative and real estate company. She is a licensed Nevada Real Estate Broker.
Susan served on the Board of Directors of the Commercial Real Estate Women of Southern Nevada and BOMA Southern Nevada and served as President of CREW-SN in 2002 and 2007. In 2005 she was awarded the Women of Distinction Award by the National Association of Women Business Owners for Development and Construction. In January 2009, Susan was appointed to a two year term with the Clark County Town Advisory Board in Las Vegas.
Susan and her husband travel frequently including numerous cruises through out the world.
She has two "kids" Gracie a german shepard and Bailey a cocker spaniel.
