Susan's Story
Life
I work for the Frederick County Public School system as a 1-on-1 Special Education Instructional Assistant for a girl w/ a rare condition called "golden har syndrome." She's partially deaf, Korean born, & adopted at 18 months of age by a deaf couple who had already adopted another deaf Korean child. My days at work are 100% enjoyable as she's a GREAt KID. I have 2 children (14 yr. old daughter, Carly, in 8th grade & 12 yr. old son, Hunter, in 6th grade). I recently found out that my 1st full year after being treated for Breast Cancer has been a year in remission. Otherwise life goes on; we've got a nice house in Adamstown on 3/4 of an acre. My husband works at NIST in Gaithersburg. We've got 3 Guinea Pigs at the present time. Life keeps us rather busy!
